Lyric Kinard has started December with reminding us that there is joy to be found in being of service to others, and beauty to be found in kindness. This sentiment is one that I have shared for years, with anyone who would listen. Lyric wants to make this concept as big as possible, and I want to help her. Today I made a bunch of coffee cozies, some of which will be gifted to teachers etc. The others will be gifted randomly, since I was already able to see the joy that this brings; last week I gave my cozy to a barista at Starbucks, who was "oogling" it while she made our coffee, then while she was sweeping the floor.

I love this posting. I had already been planning, in my head, a post on 'gifting' and this fits right in with what I've been thinking about.
